Remove Node Modules Alias

Sometimes you just need to reroll your node_modules and start fresh. This is potentially simple if you only have one folder, but can get more involved if you multiple folders. You may have multiple folders when using yarn workspaces or when you need to free up a lot of space [insert node_modules blackhole image].

I grabbed my bash scripts from How to Delete ALL node_modules folders on your machine and Free up HD space!, and created an alias for them. The first returns a report and the second deletes the folders recursively.

Place these in your .bashrc.

alias rnm='find . -name "node_modules" -type d -prune | xargs du -chs'
alias dnm='find . -name "node_modules" -type d -prune -exec rm -rf "{}" +'
